Note from Gary Kusch: As regards the second game with MIT, the Boston Post reported a 6-6 tie in this game with the following commentary: the game was tied 6-6 with MIT on the Brown 5-yd line when the referee called time expired. However, afterwards the referee said 15 seconds remained. After about two more minutes of play, the Brown captain began protesting in vain. MIT finally rushed the ball over the line and claimed a touchdown which Brown refused to admit. Although the paper claims a 6-6 tie, all sources I have seen, including the Brown media guide, agree that Brown lost the game, so I assume this is the official result. All other sources, again including the media guide, give the 6-12 score. The 6-12 score would imply that the conversion (2 points at the time) was made following the 4 point touchdown. Your 6-10 score would imply either a missed conversion, or, because of the controversy surrounding the touchdown, no attempt at the conversion. Either scenario seems plausible.
