Note from Gary Kusch: According to the Charleston Daily Mail of 11/2, Charleston (WV) (known as Morris Harvey at the time) cancelled its game with Davis & Elkins which was to have been played 11/1, the date you list for Charleston's game with Kentucky Wesleyan. There is an article in the same edition that says Morris Harvey disbanded its football team following its 109-0 loss to Concord (WV) the week before, and the paper says the cancellation of the Davis & Elkins game made it known that all subsequent games were cancelled. The Kentucky Wesleyan web does list a win (score & date unknown) over Charleston and has it listed as the last game of the season. My impression was that these cancelled games were not forfeits, but it would appear that Kentucky Wesleyan did treat it as a forfeit win. However, the scheduled date must have been later in the year and not 11/1.
